one brand, 3 islands, 3 culture

Naturalē is a collection of stories, communities, and natural traditions brought together under one name.

More than a brand, Naturalē is an invitation to live consciously — to choose products that are better for your body, support local communities, and respect the natural world.

Naturalē began in the Togean Islands of Central Sulawesi, a remote part of Indonesia, home to many Bajo communities, often known as Sea Gypsies. The everyday lives of locals are closely connected to fishing, farming, and household activities. The islands are also rich in natural resources that inspire many of the ingredients we use at Naturalē, including coconut, seaweed, patchouli, moringa, coffee, bergamot, turmeric, and other botanical

Our Journey started by empowering local women to produce coconut oil and handcrafted soap, using coconuts sourced directly from island farmers. By sourcing and producing locally, we create opportunities for women and farmers while using the island's natural resources thoughtfully.

We also built our production facility around solar power and rainwater harvesting. Beyond responding to the island's limited access to electricity, which is available for only around six hours a day, and limited access to water, these systems also help us reduce our environmental impact and make sustainability part of how we work from the very beginning.

As Naturalē grew, Bali became a bridge between the communities behind our products and a wider market. Through our own retail presence and partnerships with local businesses, we created new opportunities to share our products while bringing more value back to the women and farmers we work with.

Our work with Bali’s hospitality industry also opened a new path: turning waste into new products. Hospitality waste such as used coffee grounds, cooking oil, eggshells, and textiles is collected and transformed into coasters and other regenerative products. These products can then return to use or be sold in the cafés, resorts, and businesses they came from, creating a more circular relationship between hospitality, local production, and waste.

Built around coconut based products, Naturalē also transforms coconut shells into premium jewelry in collaboration with artisans from Nias Island, Sumatra. The collection has become especially popular with visitors in Bali, giving new value to coconut shells while creating more opportunities for the artisans behind each piece.

Naturalē community makers in Raja Ampat

With our focus on island communities and tourism destinations, Raja Ampat became a natural next step for Naturalē. Inspired by its remote communities and extraordinary natural environment, we built a solar powered production facility and began working with women from surrounding communities.

Through partnerships with local resorts, we introduce natural, locally made alternatives for hospitality, including room amenities, bulk orders, and white label products. This allows us to grow alongside the local tourism industry while creating more opportunities within the communities around us.
